Job summary

Integrity House, New Jersey’s oldest nonprofit provider of compassionate care for addiction and mental health, seeks a Clinical Supervisor to oversee supervisees and ensure high-quality care.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree required in related field (clinical social work, mental health counseling, or addiction counseling).
  • Supervision credentials CCS or ACS required.
  • Minimum 3 years of LCSW practice; 1 year LCADC and 2 years LPC experience preferred.
  • Clinical supervision certification through recognized boards or equivalent coursework.

Responsibilities

Job description

We’ve been a trusted source in our field since our founding in 1968, and our goal has remained constant: to provide our clients with comprehensive, whole-person care options under one unified system of care. Integrity House operates 16 licensed treatment programs across New Jersey as well as community outreach and prevention programs, and serves over 3,000 individuals every year.

TheClinical Supervisor is responsible for providing clinical supervision to each supervisee assigned, as it relates to substance use disorders, mental health disorders, and co-occurring disorders. Clinical supervision is a disciplined, tutorial process wherein principles are transformed into practical skills, within four overlapping areas of focus: administrative, evaluative, clinical, and supportive.

Duties and Responsibilities of a Clinical Supervisor:

  • Provide weekly clinical supervision to assigned supervisees, for minimum of 1 hour per week (50 hours per calendar year).
  • Document the clinical supervision session, and retain thorough records.
  • Oversee diagnosing and assessment being conducted by supervisee.
  • Biannual evaluation of each supervisee in the areas of personal characteristics, philosophical foundations, communication, counseling skills, adjunctive activities, and ethical standards.
  • Monitor each supervisee 1:1 during group facilitation, individual counseling, clinical case presentation, etc., once per quarter.
  • Review all treatment plans, assessments, and treatment recommendations made by supervisee, and providing supervising signature where required.
  • Document clinical consultations in the client’s file.
  • Ensure compliance with all licensing & accreditation requirements including organizational (Department of Health, Division of Mental Health & Addiction Services, CARF, etc.) and individual, for each supervisee (as outlined by the Division of Consumer Affairs) for each respective discipline, as it relates to clinical practice & clinical supervision.
  • Ensure adherence to all applicable laws including those related to Duty to Warn, Child Abuse & Neglect, Elder Abuse, Megan’s Law, etc.
  • Collaborate with management on staff development and clinician strengths.
  • Complete all required (internal and external) supervision forms, applications, etc., retain proof within agency, and submit to Division of Consumer Affair where applicable.
  • Strict adherence to all organizational policies.
  • Comply with and satisfy all supervision and practice regulations as defined by Division of Consumer Affairs for each discipline: Social Work: N.J.A.C. 13:44G; Alcohol & Drug: N.J.A.C. 13:34C; Professional Counseling: N.J.A.C. 13:34(10-13)

Required Education and Experience:

  • Master’s Degree in related discipline (i.e. clinical social work, mental health counseling, substance use counseling, etc.), required, and
  • Relevant supervision certificate:CCS(Certified Clinical Supervisor) orACS(Approved Clinical Supervisor)

Required Licensing or Certifications:

  • 3 Years of practice as LCSW
  • 20 Hour Continuing Education Credits of post-graduate Clinical Supervision Course offered by either the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) or a sponsor approved by ASWB, or an educational program approved by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE).
  • 1 Year of practice as LCADC
  • Certified Clinical Supervisor (CCS) certification from an ICRC member board.
  • 2 Years of practice as LPC
  • A clinical supervisor’s certificate (ACS) from the National Board for Certified Counselors Center for Credentialing and Education or its successor, the American Society of Addictive Medicine or its successor, the American Psychiatric Association or its successor or the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy or its successor; or completed a minimum of three graduate credits in clinical supervision from a regionally accredited institution of higher education.

Work Schedule:

Part-timeposition is based on agency needs ($45/hr)
Full-timeposition is Monday through Friday from 9am-5pm ($60k/yr)
