Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced nursing leader to oversee clinical support staff and workflows in our ambulatory clinic in Washington. You will provide leadership, foster collaboration, and ensure alignment with organizational strategies and the Practice Manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is required.
• BLS certification is required.
• At least 1 year of direct patient care, ambulatory setting preferred.
• Experience delegating responsibilities to licensed and unlicensed staff.
• Ability to perform clinical skills in specialty and surgical clinics.
• Ability to learn and adapt to technology.
• Strong time management and communication skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with colleagues and patients.

Job description

• Coordinate and manage clinical support staff and clinical workflows and activities within the clinic
• Provide leadership and direction to department team members
• Foster a positive and collaborative team culture
• Implement departmental and organizational strategies
• Allocate resources efficiently to meet project and operational requirements
• Manage staffing levels and recruit, train, and develop team members
• Address job performance and behavioral issues, including regular 1:1 meetings
• Foster communication, collaboration, and coordination between departments
• Facilitate communication within the department and across the organization
• Work with the Practice Manager to align departmental and organizational objectives
• Keep team members informed about organizational goals, objectives, and change
• Identify and resolve issues affecting team performance

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
• BLS
• One year of direct patient care, preferably in an ambulatory setting
• Experience in delegation of responsibilities to licensed and unlicensed personnel, preferably within the ambulatory setting
• Ability to perform the required technical skills for a clinical staff member within the specialty and surgical clinics
• Ability to learn and adapt to technology
• Ability to manage time, tasks, and resources appropriately
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with colleagues, patients, providers, and customers
• Strong typing skills
