Job summary

Baptist Health seeks a Clinical Staff Pharmacist to join our full-time 1st shift team. You will provide safe, effective drug therapy and participate in antimicrobial stewardship while supporting centralized and decentralized medication-use systems.

You will counsel patients, assist providers as a drug information resource, and contribute to transitions to care within inter-professional teams. KY license required and BLS/ACLS current.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited college with Pharmacy degree.
• Licensed Pharmacist in good standing with KY Board of Pharmacy.
• Pharm.D. or relevant clinical hospital pharmacy experience desirable.
• Maintain Kentucky licensure and CE requirements.
• BLS & ACLS certifications required.
• Advanced clinical training or PGY1 residency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, effective, and prompt medication therapy across departments.
• Manage drug preparation, order verification, and inventory responsibilities.
• Serve as drug information resource for providers and staff.
• Deliver decentralized or clinical pharmacist services, including anticoagulation management.
• Participate in antimicrobial and opioid stewardship initiatives.
• Counsel patients and collaborate with care teams for transitions to care.
• Engage in unit-based activities and monitor unit metrics with the team.
• Oversee medication management, supervision, production duties, and compliance.
