Job summary

OhioHealth is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist in the Eastside Neuro Rehab Amb department to evaluate and treat patients with communication, cognitive and swallowing disorders. You will develop and carry out plans of care, provide family instruction, and document progress for a multidisciplinary team.

The role focuses on direct patient care, planning discharge, and acting as a clinical instructor for students while ensuring safety and high-quality rehabilitation services.

Qualifications

• Specialized knowledge in cognition, aphasia, dysphagia, and swallowing assessments.
• Experience with video fluoroscopic and endoscopic swallowing.
• Basic computer skills for documentation and records.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients’ communication, cognitive, functional status and swallowing.
• Develop and implement plan of care with reassessment and discharge planning.
• Provide information to physicians, nurses and care team; document progress in records.
