Job summary

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Completion of clinical fellowship year (CFY).
• Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in Maryland, District of Columbia (DC), and/or Virginia licensure as deemed necessary for location(s).
• American Speech Language Hearing Association Certificate of Clinical Competence.

Responsibilities

• Provides evaluation services including review of historical information, performance of assessments, and documentation of results.
• Explains evaluation findings and treatment plan to patient and family and involves them in goal setting.
• Implements treatment protocols based on evaluation findings and patient condition, and coordinates with other healthcare professionals.
• Completes discharge planning and follows up on care; documents and charges for patient care activities clearly.
• Manages scheduling, productivity, and professional growth through continuing education and mentoring.
