Job summary

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required.
• Strong clinical knowledge in adult/geriatric care.
• Pass level 2 fingerprinting (Eligible status).

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents for speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders.
• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to meet rehabilitation goals.
• Collaborate with nurses, occupational therapists, physical therapists, dietitians, and social workers.
• Maintain thorough records: assessments, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Educate residents and families about therapy goals, strategies, and swallowing safety.
• Provide palliative care support focusing on communication and swallowing needs.
