Responsibilities
- Promote Mayo Clinic's core values and support community-based health care and integrated delivery systems through the sale of Mayo Medical Laboratories (MCL) tests.
- Generate new business revenue and co‑develop account and/or test selling and promotional strategies with clients.
- Project annual sales growth, market dynamics and economic conditions in collaboration with the CSR Director, Regional Director of Sales, Regional Managers and clients.
- Sales and compel buying influences to move testing to Mayo and clients by differentiating from competing interests. Coordinate resources, develop presentations and participate in bid process for new and upsell opportunities.
- Identify specific tests or groups of tests that are differentiated in the market and pursue upsells to targeted clients. Negotiate pricing, coordinate contract development and execution and monitor accurate lock‑in of prices.
- Field‑based sales position with occasional overnight travel required.
- Bachelor's degree and at least three years’ experience in sales, preferably within the market segment being represented (e.g., Neurology), physician/client‑facing contact or negotiating contracts within a hospital or laboratory setting.
- Work from an office in the home territory in Eastern Pennsylvania. Relocation not offered.
Qualifications
- 2‑year commitment to the role.
- Bachelor's degree and not less than three years’ experience in sales in a hospital or laboratory setting, physician/client‑facing contact, or contract negotiation.
- Master's in business, medical technology, or sciences preferred.
- Excellent human relations, management, and communications skills.
- Accountable, adaptable, flexible, creative, dependable, responsible and customer‑focused.
- Ability to manage multiple projects or tasks simultaneously and exercise appropriate judgment when prioritizing projects.
- Decision‑making and problem‑solving ability, adherence to Mayo Clinic and MCS policies and procedures.
- Function in a diverse work environment while selling MCS Services and providing direction to clients in a concise, sensitive, informative, and professional manner.
- Keep a positive and courteous tone, especially in adversarial discussions. Stay abreast of regulatory issues, reimbursement issues and service requirements.
License or Certification
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record and the ability to travel extensively on all major forms of public transportation.
- FACHE certification preferred.

Compensation
Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. Annual salary range: $155,600 – $192,416.
Schedule
- Full Time
- Hours/Pay Period: 80 hours per period (extensive travel and hours outside normal business hours).
- Weekend and international assignment: not applicable.
