Job summary

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a Clinical Specialist PT to deliver direct patient care, assess functional status, and implement treatment programs within the outpatient setting. The role includes serving as a clinical resource to staff and students and coordinating educational opportunities regionally.

The position requires a California PT license (or eligibility), active BLS, and ongoing participation in training to support staff competency and patient care improvements across the medical center.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited PT training program in Physical Therapy (Bachelors/Masters/Doctorate).
• Minimum of 200 hours of specialized education through CE, residency or fellowship hours.
• California Physical Therapist License required at hire or eligibility to obtain license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate required at hire and National Provider Identifier (NPI) at hire.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates patients and interprets examination findings to determine dysfunction and restore function.
• Establishes treatment goals and plans based on age, history, and condition.
• Administers modalities and exercise programs as prescribed.
• Coordinates discharge planning with other health professionals.
• Supervises PT assistants and aides when delegating patient-related tasks.
