Job summary

Kaiser Permanente in California seeks a Physical Therapist to provide services for patients under the direction of the Director, Assistant Director, or Clinical Supervisor, delivering safe, evidence-based rehabilitation.

You will serve as a clinical instructor, mentor staff, participate in in-service education, drive performance improvements, and contribute to new clinical care models across Kaiser facilities. This is an on-site position in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years experience as a Physical Therapist.
• California Physical Therapist License required at hire.
• National Provider Identifier required at hire.
• Basic Life Support certification.

Responsibilities

• Assumes responsibility as outlined in the Physical Therapist job summary and responsibilities.
• Provides department in-service as requested by management (e.g., journal club presentation, and or regular in-service presentation).
• Serves as a clinical instructor as requested by management.
• Assists in orientation and training of employees as needed.
• Provides consultation to staff.
• May mentor for staff.
• May provide input into the clinical competency of staff.
• Identifies process improvement opportunities.
• May assist in development and implementation of new clinical practice models for the delivery of care.
• Participates in performance improvement projects or other committees as requested by management.
• May be involved in the clinical competency of PTAs and Rehab Aides.
• May monitor the work of contract therapists and the treatment of patients in Kaiser and non-Kaiser facilities.
• Performs other duties as required within scope of practice.

Education

PT degree (Bachelor/Master/Doctoral) with PT certification
