Job Description - Clinical Specialist - Nursing (25000232)

Position Summary:

The successful candidate will serve as a coordinator who is responsible for effective online teaching, finding subject matter experts for course development, overseeing course development, advising, and professional activity relating to the online non-traditional RN-BSN, Graduate Nursing, and accelerated Bachelor in Nursing programs. Teaching responsibilities will be determined based on the candidate’s expertise and needs within the Department of Nursing.

Candidates should be committed to inclusive excellence in higher education, demonstrated through, for example, culturally responsive course design and pedagogy, equity-minded student engagement and mentorship, teamwork, and cultivating intercultural competencies needed for meaningful citizenship.

Qualifications:

  1. Education: Masters in Nursing (MSN); Doctor of Nursing Practice or PhD preferred.
  2. Licensure in NJ and PA.
  3. Experience in teaching and coordinating online learning.
  4. Proven record of excellence in instruction.
  5. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  6. Strong commitment to working as part of a faculty team.
  7. Strong record of curriculum development.
  8. Demonstrate cultural competency and ability to foster inclusive learning environments and mutual respect for students and colleagues.
