SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Registered Nurse Educator II supports the quality of care provided to patients by Department of Nursing staff through optimal orientation programs, ongoing evaluation of competence, and support of lifelong learning. The RN Nurse Educator II promotes relevant professional development opportunities and mentorship for members of the department of nursing at all levels to assist with the achievement of personal and professional goals. The RN Educator II will identify outcomes of educational interventions based on input from learners and stakeholders, evidence, regulations and organizational goals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES- The percentage of time spent performing essential functions is 95%. Qualified individuals must have the ability (with or without reasonable accommodation) to perform the following duties: Assesses gaps in knowledge, skills, and/or practice to identify learning needs for assigned unit or population through data collection, formal and informal assessments, observation, and stakeholder collaboration. Identifies outcomes of educational interventions based on input from learners and key stakeholders, evidence, regulations and organizational goals. ? Plans, implements, coordinates, and facilitates educational interventions, in collaboration with the learner and stakeholders, using evidence-based modalities that address the learning needs and support achievement of expected outcomes.
