Barrington James is partnering with a startup focused on vascular solutions to improve fistula use in hemodialysis. We seek a Field Clinical Specialist to cover the Mid-Atlantic with Nashville as the base, traveling 50-60% across NC, SC, TN, VA, DC to support the regional team.

The role involves training teams, expanding clinical knowledge, and collaborating with sales to implement procedures. OR and vascular/dialysis familiarity is valued; strong communication is essential.

Job description

Partnered with an exciting, start-up company focused on developing vascular solutions for the most significant challenges preventing fistula use in hemodialysis patients.

This company is looking to expand their Clinical Team by bringing on a Field Clinical Specialist for the Mid-Atlantic; Nashville preferred base but covering (NC, SC, TN, VA, DC) to partner with the Regional Sales Manager in the region and expand this product into the market.

Responsibilities:
  • Train the surgical team to assist in good patient outcomes and verbally support cases
  • Acquire and maintain current knowledge of perioperative surgical technology practice and hospital and ASC policies and procedures.
  • Develop technical acumen to serve as an educational and clinical resource.
  • Provide continual feedback from customers to continue improving training tools and techniques.
  • Partner with the US Sales team to provide continuity from sales process through clinical implementation.
  • Assist in the delivery of procedural training with physicians and medical staff.
Experience:
  • 2-5 years in Experience with procedures in the OR Setting
  • High School Diploma or GED or associate degree with a minimum 4 years in a clinical specialist or related medical role, preferably in a medical device company; OR
  • Customer relationship and procedural skill development experience.
  • Operating Room experience (exposure to surgery/surgical procedures). Vascular experience and dialysis access experience preferred but not required.
  • Clinical Background - Nurses, radiology techs, surgical techs
Skills:
  • Ability to provide technical guidance during procedures
  • Skill and experience in providing technical support with physicians and healthcare support teams
  • Ensure accuracy of customer inventory, where appropriate.
  • Proven ability to drive product adoption and utilization
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
Education:
  • High School Diploma or GED or associate degree with a minimum 4 years in a clinical specialist or related medical role, preferably in a medical device company; OR
  • A bachelor's degree with a minimum of 2 years in a clinical specialist or related medical role (Rad. Tech. / Surg. Tech., etc.), preferably in a medical device company.
Additional Qualifications:
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and insurance is required
  • Travel throughout - 50-60%, Airplane/Car
  • Geography (NC, SC, TN, VA, DC)
  • Must be able to walk, stand, sit, bend and lift to complete the basic functions of the role. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job involve normal vision.
  • Ability to pivot and work in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude.
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
