Qualifications

  • BA/BS or equivalent medical training required.
  • Field of Study Health science and appropriate registrations or certifications (RT, RCIS, Surgical Tech, RN, NP, or First Assistant strongly preferred).
  • Strong clinical orientation with experience in interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, interventional radiology, vascular, or cardiac surgery preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical sales support for Vascade and EnsoETM within the assigned territory.
  • Lead solutions in the vascular closure and esophageal cooling markets.
  • Train and educate healthcare professionals and act as a trusted clinical resource for customers.

Job Summary:

The Clinical Specialist is responsible for providing clinical sales support for Vascade and EnsoETM, leading solutions in the vascular closure and esophageal cooling markets, and for supporting the adoption of future products added through acquisition or portfolio expansion. This role reports to the Regional Clinical Manager and partners closely with the Regional Sales Director, Account Managers, Marketing, and other Clinical Teams to drive product adoption, ensure exceptional patient outcomes, and deliver training and education to healthcare professionals within the assigned territory. The Clinical Specialist will serve as a trusted resource for physicians, nurses, and allied health staff, combining product and clinical knowledge to demonstrate how the company's interventional products support clinical goals and improve patient outcomes. By providing case coverage, the Clinical Specialist will contribute to achieving projected sales goals, supporting company objectives, and increasing sales revenue.

Case coverage within the assigned territory:
  • Collaborates with the Account Manager to provide good case coverage and clinical outcomes for patients.
  • Serves as the primary clinical resource for clinical support in the areas of coverage, troubleshooting and in-service education for company products.
  • Informs the customer on the latest product, therapy and technology developments in the industry by actively engaging in procedural and technical discussion.
  • Demonstrates the ability to link clinical data to key messaging.
  • Meets with existing and potential customers to identify their clinical needs, goals and constraints related to patient care and provide creative and feasible solutions using company products.
  • Collaborates and communicates account and other requested information to sales team on a daily basis.
  • Shares insights on competitive products or on account issues, opportunities with appropriate colleagues. Educates the customer on the merits and proper clinical usage of company products.
  • Oversees local education and training activities including coordination and set up of programs, procedural troubleshooting, and coordination and facilitation of staff education.
  • Identifies, establishes, and maintains productive working relationships with key decision makers, customers and their staff, administrative staff, etc.
  • Support monitoring of product inventory levels.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • No direct reports.
  • May participate in informal peer mentoring and knowledge sharing as part of normal team collaboration.
Education

Min/Preferred Education Level BA/BS or equivalent medical training required. Field of Study Health science and appropriate registrations or certifications (RT, RCIS, Surgical Tech, RN, NP, or First Assistant strongly preferred). Education Detail

Years of Experience

Requires 2+ years of direct healthcare experience (Cath lab, Interventional Radiology, Electrophysiology, etc.). Medical device industry experience preferred. Experience Details Strong clinical orientation, with experience in interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, interventional radiology, vascular, or cardiac surgery preferred.

Training/Certifications (indicate if preferred or required)

Health science and appropriate registrations or certifications (RT, RCIS, Surgical Tech, RN, NP, or First Assistant strongly preferred)

Company & Products relevant knowledge: Demonstrates strong working knowledge of assigned company products and services, associated clinical evidence, and relevant disease states. Effectively applies this knowledge to support case coverage, engage applicable stakeholders, and differentiate company products from competitors. Resolves a wide range of issues using established clinical and product expertise. - Business/Sales acumen: Demonstrates an understanding of product positioning, basic competitive landscape, and territory needs. Identifies competitive products and articulates key differentiators. Connects clinical activities to sales goals and prioritizes time effectively for case coverage and customer education. Recognizes common customer objections and can respond appropriately within the scope of the role. - Communication: Communicates clinical information clearly, accurately, and professionally. Adapts communication style to different audiences, including nurses, physicians, and technicians. Demonstrates effective listening skills and responds appropriately to customer needs. Communicates issues proactively and escalates when appropriate.
