Job summary

Jobtailor in Little Rock, AR is seeking a Clinical Robotics Support Specialist to build expertise in Mako SmartRobotics and manual orthopedic procedures. You will assist surgeons with pre-operative planning, system setup, and real-time workflows, while managing instrument readiness and case documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree OR associate degree with 4 years of professional/related experience OR high school diploma with 6 years of professional/related experience.
• Preferred: 1 year of relevant work experience.
• Preferred: Clinical experience in nursing, physical therapy, surgical tech, athletic training, personal training, or medical scribing.

Responsibilities

• Build clinical and technical expertise across Mako SmartRobotics and orthopedic procedures.
• Assist surgeons with pre-operative CT-based planning, case preparation, system setup, and real-time workflows.
• Support implant sizing, positioning, registration, and intra-operative procedures.
• Gain competency in solo case coverage for manual and robotic procedures.
• Check instrumentation, set up equipment, and ensure OR readiness.
• Troubleshoot technical issues in the operating room.
• Coordinate daily account workflows, including inventory management and logistics.
• Shadow experienced teammates to understand territory dynamics and surgeon preferences.
• Participate in product demonstrations, cadaver labs, education programs, and customer training events.
• Build and maintain relationships with surgeons, OR staff, and cross-functional partners.
• Manage account administration, system updates, and case documentation.
• Collaborate with sales partners to provide a unified customer experience.
• Complete required trainings, competencies, and certifications.
• Provide on-call coverage during evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree OR associate degree with 4 years of professional and/or related experience OR high school diploma with 6 years of professional and/or related experience
• Preferred: 1 year of relevant work experience
• Preferred: Previous clinical experience, including nursing, physical therapy, surgical technology, athletic training, personal training, or medical scribing
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to manage stressful OR situations with professionalism and focus
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Fluency in written and spoken English required
• Ability to participate in on-call coverage during evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to travel 20%
