Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a dedicated professional to support robotic Mako SmartRobotics and manual orthopedic procedures in a dynamic OR setting. You will assist with pre-operative planning, case prep, system setup, and real-time workflows to ensure smooth operations and optimal outcomes.

You will gain hands-on training to cover solo cases, work with advanced planning software, manage instrument readiness, and troubleshoot in real-time. Excellent English and physical fitness are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree OR associate degree with 4 years of professional and/or related experience OR high school diploma with 6 years of professional and/or related experience.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to manage stressful OR situations with professionalism and focus.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Fluency in written and spoken English required.
• Ability to handle instruments that may have been contaminated by blood or bodily fluids.
• Completion of required trainings, competencies, and certifications.

Responsibilities

• Build clinical and technical expertise across robotic Mako SmartRobotics™ and manual orthopedic procedures.
• Support surgeons in the operating room with pre-operative planning, case preparation, system setup, and real-time procedural workflows.
• Gain competency in solo case coverage for manual and robotic procedures through hands-on training.
• Assist with CT-based planning, implant sizing, and positioning using advanced software.
• Perform instrumentation checks, equipment setup, and OR readiness activities.
• Troubleshoot technical issues in the operating room.
• Coordinate daily account workflows, inventory management, and logistics.
• Shadow experienced teammates to understand territory dynamics and surgeon preferences.
• Participate in product demonstrations, cadaver labs, education programs, and customer training events.
• Build relationships with surgeons, OR staff, and cross-functional partners.
• Manage account administration, system updates, and case documentation.
• Collaborate with sales partners to deliver a unified customer experience.
• Complete required trainings, competencies, and certifications.
• Provide on-call coverage during evenings, weekends, and holidays.
