Job summary

Pine Rest Christian Mental Health Services is seeking a Clinical Social Worker to join a tight-knit team. You will direct care for a patient group, craft individualized treatment plans, and communicate with families, referrals, and insurers to coordinate high-quality care.

You will assess, plan, and deliver individual, group, and family therapy, support crises, and collaborate on interdisciplinary plans. A strong emphasis is placed on compassionate, values-driven service.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work (LLMSW or LMSW) is required.
• For Substance Abuse programs: Master’s in behavioral health sciences with two years post-graduate experience.
• Must hold current Michigan licensure in social work.
• One-year mental health experience to assess needs and implement plans.

Responsibilities

• Assesses and prioritizes patient treatment needs including discharge planning.
• Implements plan of care and collaborates with the clinical team.
• Provides individual, group, and family therapy; psychosocial assessment including co-occurring disorders.
• Contributes to interdisciplinary treatment plan as a team member.
• Establishes therapeutic relationships and manages crises.
• Liaisons with community resources, families, and providers.
• Monitors length of stay based on progress toward goals.
• Reports risks to patient safety to managers or physicians.
• Upholds organizational mission and provides holistic support to patients.

Education

Master’s degree in social work (LLMSW or LMSW)

Master’s degree in behavioral health sciences for Substance Abuse programs

Michigan licensure in social work

One-year mental health experience

Additional one-year mental health experience preferred
