Job summary

MedCadre in Santa Barbara, CA seeks a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders. The SLP will develop individualized treatment plans to improve communication, swallowing safety, and overall functional independence.

Working with physicians and a care team, you will provide therapy, document progress, educate families, and ensure safety and infection control.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
Current state SLP license.
ASHA certification or eligibility.
Strong assessment, communication, and clinical reasoning skills.
Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.

Responsibilities

Evaluate patients and identify speech, language, communication, and swallowing needs.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
Provide therapeutic interventions based on patient needs and goals.
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
Provide swallowing and feeding therapy when appropriate.
Educate patients, families, and caregivers on treatment strategies.
Recommend communication strategies and assistive devices as needed.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
Follow patient safety, infection control, and professional standards.
