THE OPPORTUNITY:

Hudson County Community College (HCCC) seeks a Clinical Site Manager to join its award-winning and nationally recognized institution. This is an exciting time to be part of the HCCC community. Candidates should demonstrate sensitivity to diversity issues and the ability to motivate and support students from diverse backgrounds, including ethnicity, race, sexual orientation, gender, culture, disabilities, and various academic levels. The candidate will advocate for access to higher education, especially for first-generation and immigrant students, and ideally have an understanding of the role of community colleges in higher education.

Position Summary

The Clinical Site Manager is a full-time, twelve-month position responsible for performing duties during a five-day workweek, not exceeding seven hours per day. The role involves significant off-campus work at clinical sites.

Essential Responsibilities
  1. Conduct in-person visits to clinical sites where adjunct faculty are assigned.
  2. Assess clinical teaching needs and identify emerging clinical sites for RN and PN programs.
  3. Provide mentorship for adjunct faculty.
  4. Manage visits with adjunct faculty and ensure clinical objectives are met.
  5. Complete student health requirements for clinical agencies.
  6. Coordinate with the Director of Nursing on adjunct faculty recruitment needs.
  7. Manage and deliver orientation and workshops for adjunct faculty.
  8. Oversee Clinical Affiliation Agreements for RN and PN programs.
  9. Assist with recruitment of adjunct instructors and manage clinical agency contracts.
  10. Engage with instructional staff and students through meetings and advising.
  11. Ensure all student clinical documentation is completed.
  12. Participate in student learning outcomes assessment, accreditation activities, and college committees.
  13. Provide course instruction as needed and perform other duties as assigned.
  14. Establish relationships with healthcare facilities for clinical rotations, monitor student placements, and ensure proper staffing.
  15. Monitor student progress during rotations, address issues promptly, and ensure quality clinical experiences.
Qualifications
  • Master’s Degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited institution.
  • Two years of college-level teaching experience, preferably at a community college.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with experience managing large groups.
  • Preferred experience in distance education delivery.
