Phoenix House of New York | Long Island is a nonprofit dedicated to helping individuals and families overcome substance use disorders and achieve lasting recovery. As a Clinical Supervisor, you will provide direct clinical services, review and approve discharge planning, and supervise clinical staff.

This role requires a Master’s degree in social work or mental health counseling, NYS licensure, five years in SUD treatment, and two years in supervision, with knowledge of OASAS 820.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work or Mental Health Counseling.
• Independent NYS license (LMSW/LMHC or equivalent).
• Minimum five years’ experience in substance use disorder treatment.
• Minimum two years in a supervisory role.
• Knowledge of OASAS 820 Model and Regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct clinical services including crisis intervention, assessment, counseling, family therapy, referrals, and discharge planning.
• Assist in development of comprehensive treatment and recovery plans addressing mental health, substance use, education, and vocational rehab.
• Review and approve all facets of discharge planning and ensure Medicaid and reimbursement compliance.
• Lead and coordinate staff, supervise clinical operations, and conduct regular interdisciplinary case conferences.
• Coordinate patient case management with state/local agencies and community providers.
