Clinical Services Rep (Medical Assistant, EMT-A/Paramedic) Medina

Join us as a Clinical Services Rep (Medical Assistant, EMT-A/Paramedic) Medina at University Hospitals Urgent Care.

This role is ideal for passionate Certified Medical Assistants, EMT-A, or Paramedics seeking a dynamic, rewarding career in a fast-paced clinical environment with opportunities for professional growth and work-life balance.

Position Details

• Completion of Medical Assistant, EMT-Advanced, or Paramedic education required.
• Schedule: Tentative 8 am-8 pm, 3 shifts/week, full-time on a floating schedule. Availability for 50% weekend work and some holidays is required. Schedules are published monthly.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examinations and treatments, ensuring comfort and understanding.
• Perform triage, take vital signs, and document patient history accurately in our EMR system.
• Collect laboratory specimens and administer medications, including injections.
• Support clinical procedures like starting IVs, placing catheters, and splinting.
• Assist with Occupational Medicine services and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA and OSHA.
• Perform administrative tasks and operate medical equipment proficiently.
• Travel to other Prisma Health Urgent Care locations as needed.

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant, EMT-Advanced, or Paramedic education from an accredited institution.
• 1+ year healthcare experience preferred; willing to train new graduates.
• Proficiency in venipuncture, injections, and clinical procedures.
• Experience with EMR software, EPIC preferred.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Positive, proactive team player attitude.
