As a Paramedic, you will provide immediate medical treatment to patients presenting with various critical injuries, illnesses, and concerns within the Main, Medina, Avon, and Twinsburg Cleveland Clinic locations. Fast thinking and processing are essential, as every second counts in an emergency. Your efforts help improve outcomes and make a lasting difference in the lives of patients, their families, and your fellow caregivers.

Work Schedule: Rotating days/nights from 6:30AM - 6:30PM or 6:30PM - 6:30AM, with every other weekend and holiday requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide immediate medical treatment to critically ill or injured patients during interfacility or scene transport.
2. Navigate an ambulance to respond to emergency calls.
3. Assess the nature and extent of injuries or illnesses, administer appropriate emergency care, communicate with hospital medical personnel, and record observations until hand-off.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Completion of an accredited EMS-Paramedic Training Program.
2. Current Ohio licensure as an Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic (EMTP).
3. Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications through the American Heart Association.
4. At least three years of experience as an EMT-P in a critical care setting or in-hospital experience.
5. Valid Ohio Driver's License and passport.
6. International Trauma Life Support (ITLS) and Flight Paramedic Certifications within two years of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Experience in a larger metropolitan area.
2. Experience in an Emergency Room or Critical Care Transport.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to perform in limited quarters, ground and air transport modes, and various terrains and weather conditions. Frequent bending, twisting, climbing, stooping, kneeling, and crouching.
• Medium work: exerting 20-50 pounds occasionally, 10-25 pounds frequently, and up to 10 pounds constantly.
• Physical demands exceed those for light work.

Personal Protective Equipment: Follows Standard Precautions and uses PPE as required.
