Critical Care Transport Paramedic (Day/Night Rotation)

As a Paramedic, you will provide immediate medical treatment to patients with critical injuries or illnesses within the Main, Medina, Avon, and Twinsburg Cleveland Clinic locations. Fast thinking and quick processing are essential, as every second counts in emergencies. Your efforts help improve outcomes and make a lasting difference.

Work Schedule: Rotating days/nights from 6:30AM - 6:30PM or 6:30PM - 6:30AM, with every other weekend and holiday requirements.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing immediate medical treatment to critically ill or injured patients during interfacility or scene transport.
• Navigating an ambulance responding to emergency calls.
• Assessing the nature and extent of injuries or illnesses, administering appropriate care, communicating with hospital medical personnel, and reporting observations until hand-off.

Minimum qualifications:

• Completion of an accredited EMS-Paramedic Training Program
• Current Ohio licensure as an Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic (EMTP)
• Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications through AHA
• At least three years of critical care EMT-P experience, either in flight, surface transport, or in-hospital
• Current Ohio Driver’s License and passport
• ITLS Certification and Flight Paramedic Certification within two years of hire

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience in a large metropolitan area
• Experience in Emergency Room or Critical Care Transport

Physical requirements include performing in limited quarters, on ground and air transport modes, in various terrains and weather conditions, with frequent bending, climbing, and crouching. Exerting 20-50 pounds occasionally and 10-25 pounds frequently. Use of personal protective equipment as required.
