Job summary

Jobtailor in Dallas is seeking a Diabetes Education Specialist to train providers and patients on Insulet products, insulin pump therapy, and CGMs. You will build strong relationships with endocrinologists and primary care teams, and tailor training to align with treatment plans.

You will deliver personalized sessions, provide ongoing support and troubleshooting, track training metrics in Salesforce, and collaborate with territory partners to expand adoption within the region.

Qualifications

• Associate degree and 2+ years of related clinical experience.
• Professional credentials such as CDCES, RD, RN, PharmD or equivalent.
• State licensure as required per state; valid driver’s license.
• Reside within the geographic area; willing to travel within region.
• Proficiency with large data systems and devices (insulin pumps, CGMs).
• 2+ years’ experience training in clinical settings and/or managing insulin pump patients preferred.
• Prior commercial experience in medical devices/pharma preferred.

Job description

• Build relationships with endocrinologists, primary care providers, and diabetes management teams
• Educate healthcare providers on diabetes management, technologies, and best treatment practices
• Participate in local diabetes community events and initiatives
• Schedule and deliver personalized patient training on Insulet products
• Assess patient needs and customize training programs
• Provide ongoing patient support, follow-up consultation, and troubleshooting
• Align patient training with healthcare providers’ clinical treatment plans
• Explain device features, functionality, and best practices
• Evaluate and recommend Certified Pod Trainers for consultant roles
• Provide CPTs with product updates and clinical support
• Use data sources to inform education strategy and team actions
• Maintain Salesforce and other data systems to capture training metrics
• Manage administrative operations within budgetary guidelines
• Promote insulin pump therapy benefits to providers and patients
• Collaborate with territory partners to achieve shared sales goals
• Use patient success stories and clinical selling techniques to drive product adoption
• Execute strategic, patient-centered field sales activities within established guidelines

Requirements

• Associate degree
• 2+ years of related clinical experience
• Professional, up-to-date credentials and/or certifications, such as CDCES, RD, RN, PharmD, or other clinical credentials and/or certifications
• State licensure, as required per state
• Valid driver’s license
• Proficiency with large data systems and personal devices, such as insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitors
• Must reside within the geographic area of the assigned territory
• Regular business travel within the assigned geographic region
• Ability to lift, carry, and transport up to 30 lbs.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• 2+ years’ experience conducting training in a clinical setting and/or managing insulin pump patients preferred
• Prior commercial experience in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry preferred
