Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a sales/marketing professional to drive net sales of diabetes products within a responsible territory in the United States. Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is preferred (PCP/Endo Business Specialist and Executive role)
  • Minimum of two (2) years successful sales and/or marketing experience in pharmaceutical/healthcare industry, pharmacy, B2B, customer engagement services or equivalent (PCP/Endo Business Specialist)
  • Minimum of five (5) years successful sales and/or marketing experience in pharmaceutical/healthcare industry, pharmacy, B2B, customer engagement services or equivalent (Executive PCP/Endo Business Specialist)
  • Experience in diabetes therapeutic area preferred
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, and database applications
  • Ability to travel, including possible overnight travel

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement plans to maximize net sales of BIPI and co-promoted diabetes products
  • Conduct business with targeted healthcare providers and community hospitals, with possible responsibilities in teaching hospitals, federal and military hospitals, managed healthcare facilities, group purchasing organizations, and integrated delivery networks
  • Influence targeted healthcare professionals to support BIPI-promoted diabetes products
  • Execute brand strategies and deliver company sales and marketing messages appropriately
  • Establish and maintain communication, cooperation, and coordination with co-promotion partners and BIPI employees
  • Complete pre-call plans, address stakeholder needs, develop customer networks, and conduct timely follow-up
  • Coordinate healthcare-provider engagement through personal and non-personal channels
  • Discuss payer environments, co-pays, and formulary access with customers
  • Collaborate with Managed Care Area Managers to support products on MCO formularies and pull through MCO decisions
  • Deliver the continuation-of-care model, including discharge protocols, treatment algorithms, and disease management
  • Analyze territory information and local market conditions to optimize business plans and customer calls
  • Allocate and monitor resources including samples, co-pay cards, speaker-program funds, and in-office meal funds
  • Identify and develop thought leaders, innovators, advocates, speakers, and customer networks
  • Manage speaker programs and budgets within standards
  • Collaborate with account, medical, and other customer-facing teams to meet customer needs and net sales objectives
  • Perform all business in accordance with applicable regulations and company policies; report violations immediately
  • Complete administrative responsibilities and all required sales training

Job description

Requirements

  • Experience in diabetes therapeutic area preferred
  • History of successful performance
  • Meets expectations for the key competencies required for this role
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, and database applications
  • Ability to travel, including possible overnight travel
  • Should reside in territory geography or be willing to relocate; exceptions granted by senior sales leadership
  • Valid Driver's License and an acceptable driving record
  • Authorization and ability to drive a Company leased vehicle or authorized rental vehicle
  • Pass state motor vehicle vision requirement to operate a motor vehicle
  • Ability to work with external and internal customers, diverse groups, medical practitioners, and business partners
  • Ability to learn and retain complex material, pass product and disease-related knowledge tests, and deliver clear, effective, accurate, compliant verbal content to physicians
  • At least 40 hours per week with morning and evening flexibility as needed
  • Ability to function in a self-directed work environment
  • Proficient in remote engagements via video conferencing platforms, phone, and digital media applications
  • Eligible and authorized under all U.S. Export Laws to be employed by the Company and receive required technology
  • Ability to perform daily territory travel, walk, bend, climb stairs, lift materials above head, and intermittently lift up to 40 lbs
