Job summary

Community Health Service, Inc is seeking a full-time Clinical Services Manager for its Willmar, MN team. This role leads nursing practice, standardizes workflows, and guides operational and clinical improvements across CHSI locations.

The position requires a nursing leadership background, a BSN, and RN licensure with BLS. Experience in primary care and EHR systems is preferred, with strong focus on staff development and quality improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited school.
  • Current State license to practice as a Registered Nurse.
  • Basic Life Support Certification.
  • Minimum three years of nursing experience; program management and supervisory experience desirable.
  • Experience in a primary care setting preferred.
  • Knowledge of nursing principles and practices; ability to apply them.
  • Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHRs).

Responsibilities

  • Clinical Leadership: leads nursing practice across CHSI locations and standardizes workflows.
  • Staff Management: supervises RN and LPN staff; participates in hiring and onboarding.
  • Dyad Leadership with Site Managers: coordinates staffing and workflow implementation.
  • Clinical Infrastructure: develops clinical workflows; ensures vaccine program standards.
  • Quality Improvement and Risk Management: monitors nursing quality metrics and risk investigations.
  • Population Health: collaborates on chronic disease initiatives and care coordination.
  • Regulatory Compliance: maintains HRSA, OSHA, CLIA, HIPAA and state nursing standards.

CHSI is a private, non-profit organization established in 1973 to serve the health needs of migrant & seasonal farm workers and their family members. Responsibilities
Clinical Leadership

  • Participates in operational meetings
  • Balances staffing needs with clinic operation

  • Coordinates staffing coverage during absences
Clinical Infrastructure
  • Develops clinical workflows
  • Develops standards for the vaccine program compliance
  • Completes reporting for referrals and improves workflows
  • Develops and reviews standing orders
  • Develops standards for clinical supplies
  • Coordinates compliance of the infection control program
  • Oversees clinical emergency preparedness
  • Develops clinical documentation procedures and accountability
Quality Improvement and Risk Management
  • Monitors nursing quality metrics
  • Participates in risk investigations
  • Assists with FTCA readiness
  • Participates in OSV preparation
  • Monitors incident reporting
  • Leads nursing quality improvement
  • Audits nursing documentation
Population Health
  • Collaborates on chronic disease initiatives
  • Supports care gap closure
  • Oversees nursing outreach
  • Supports care coordination
  • Partners with Outreach & Enrollment (O&E) teams
  • Uses Epic and Azara data to improve patient outcomes

Physical Abilities
  • Ability to bend and crouch occasionally, sit continuously, and stand or walk frequently

Education

A bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited school is required.

Licenses / Certifications

Current State license to practice as a Registered Nurse; Current Basic Life Support Certification.

Experience

Minimum three years of nursing experience; Program management and supervisory experience desirable; Experience in a primary care setting preferred.
