Responsibilities:

Patient Care:

• Room patients promptly, review medical history, allergies, medications, and document in EMR.
• Monitor patient condition and communicate changes to providers.
• Assist patients with mobility, prepare for exams, and perform specimen collection, lab tests, EKGs, and minor procedures.
• Respond to emergencies and assist with medication administration, injections, and vaccines as per provider orders.

Clerical and Other Duties:

• Handle patient communications, documentation, and scheduling efficiently.

Environmental/Safety:

• Follow infection control policies, maintain equipment, and ensure safety protocols.

Patient Service & Financial:

• Enhance patient experience, manage billing and insurance information, and ensure compliance with regulations.

Credentials:

• BLS/CPR certification required.
• MA Certification required within 90 days of hire in PA.

Education/Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience preferred.
