University Medical Associates (UMA) is seeking a Medical Scribe / Physician Extender to support physicians by documenting patient encounters, coordinating patient flow, maintaining schedules, and facilitating clinic operations.

The role emphasizes accurate EHR documentation, real-time chart updates, and collaboration with the clinical team; minimum education is a high school degree, with strong typing and communication skills valued.

Qualificações

• High School degree or equivalent required.
• Excellent computer and typing skills preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities; attention to detail; ability to document patient care clearly.

Responsabilidades

• 30% Clinical Documentation and Medical Scribing: document patient histories, review findings, and update EHR in real time.
• 20% Physician Extender and Clinical Support: anticipate physician needs and prepare for encounters.
• 15% Prechart: gather and organize patient information before appointments and assist with histories.
• 10% Schedule Scrubbing and Appointment Accuracy: verify schedules, correct entries, and coordinate visit types.
• 10% Follow-up scheduling and coordination for procedures and tests.
• 5% Patient Education and reinforce instructions within scope.
• 10% Other duties as assigned.
