Allergy & Ent Assoc in Austin, TX seeks a Medical Scribe to support physicians in a fast-paced clinical environment. You will document patient visits, maintain charts, and enter data into the NextGen EMR system while coordinating with the care team for smooth patient flow.

The role requires attention to detail, good communication, and the ability to work independently within a team. A Medical Assistant credential or related experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Formación

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or comparable experience.
• One year’s medical office experience preferred.
• Must be self-directed and able to work independently.
• Attention to detail a must.
• Professional, calm, and courteous demeanor
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare and assemble medical record documentation/charts for the physician.
• Update patient history, physical exam, and other health information.
• Organize and send documentation to physician for review.
• Fill out summaries of consultations or treatment sessions.
• Send referral letters on behalf of patients’ insurers.
• Take notes during patient visits and document in NextGen EMR.
• Learn medical processes and work with a supervising physician.
• Communicate with patients and supervising physicians professionally.
• Complete administrative tasks and assist physician with tests and medications.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and HIPAA policies.
