Job summary

City of Hope in the United States is seeking a Clinical Scheduler to support hospital operations by scheduling established patient appointments and coordinating care teams. You will interact with patients and caregivers, maintain accurate calendars and billing data, and use electronic medical record systems to ensure smooth, quality care.

The position requires a High School diploma or equivalent; 2–3 years scheduling experience is preferred, and a Bachelor’s degree is desirable.

The successful candidate

Contributes to the hospital delivery of optimum care by responsibly scheduling established patient care appointments. Education / Experience Level

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Bachelor’s degree desirable
• 2-3 years of Medical Scheduling experience preferred
• MA/CNA work experience preferred

Knowledge and Skills

• Excellent customer service, time management, communication skills. Energetic approach, strong follow‑up attitude, creative, & team player attitude.
• Knowledge of patient care charts and patient histories.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Ability to maintain calendars and schedule appointments.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities with attention to detail.
• Working knowledge of electronic medical record, medical scheduling and record keeping software.
• Knowledge of computer and Microsoft office programs.
• Enters and retrieves data from given sources on a personal computer.
