Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a Material Management Worker I to support the Voice Center’s outpatient operations. The role focuses on maintaining six exam rooms, ensuring supplies, and coordinating efficient patient flow in a busy clinical setting in Boston.

Under supervision, you will prepare rooms, sterilize and stock equipment, assist with laser and injection procedures, and uphold safety and regulatory standards while interacting with patients and care teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of directly related experience assisting with surgical procedures.
• Associate degree, preferably in health care medical and/or technical related program.
• Ability to communicate and comfort patients undergoing diagnostic procedures.
• Proficiency in computer technology and record keeping.
• Self-managed, flexible and adaptable to changing environments.
• Must comply with hospital, state and federal regulations including HIPAA.

Responsibilities

• Set up clinical rooms prior to each patient visit with required instruments and equipment.
• Closely assist surgeons with specialized outpatient laser equipment, Botox administration, EMG and injections.
• Disinfect, replenish, and secure topical anesthetics.
• Coordinate routine manufacturer servicing and repair of specialized clinical equipment.
• Maintain clinical supply inventories and coordinate ordering with office staff.
• Ensure safety procedures for laser use and patient monitoring throughout procedures.
