Job summary

Faculty Physicians Inc. in Maryland is seeking a risk management and patient safety professional to investigate adverse events, near misses, and potential claims.

The role will develop and implement loss prevention methodologies and patient safety initiatives within designated areas and entities. You will gather and analyze data, prepare reports, and keep management informed about significant developments while contributing to ongoing risk reduction and quality assurance efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or clinical health care with Master’s preferred.
• 3–5 years nursing or clinical experience required in special care units, ICU’s, ER, Shock Trauma, etc.
• Previous experience in risk management, patient safety or quality assurance preferred.
• Paralegal knowledge also an asset.

Responsibilities

• Performs the investigation of adverse events, near misses, and potential claims and suits and actively participates in developing and implementing loss prevention methodologies and patient safety initiatives in certain designated areas or entities.
• Gathers and analyzes data and prepares reports as well as keeping the management informed about significant developments; and other duties as assigned.
