Job summary

Aura Health is seeking a Clinical Risk Manager in Illinois to review, investigate, and prioritize clinical and organizational events to improve patient safety. You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to implement risk mitigation, analyze data for trends, and develop educational programs for staff while coordinating communication with insurance and legal teams.

The role requires strong communication, investigative and analytical skills; experience with Epic or RL Solutions is preferred;

Qualifications

Role:

Clinical Risk Manager

Responsibilities:

Review, investigate, and prioritize clinical and organizational events to enhance patient safety. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to implement risk mitigation strategies, analyze data for trends, and provide education to staff. Investigate incidents to identify potential liabilities, work with Claims Management on liability assessments, and develop risk reduction programs. Serve as an advisor on disclosure and documentation, coordinate communication of adverse outcomes, and support risk assessments with clinical and administrative teams. Promote a culture of safety, conduct training, and assist with compliance issues. Maintain communication with insurance and legal teams, and participate in monthly risk/claims meetings.

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Health Administration or Nursing, with 5+ years of clinical experience and 2+ years in patient safety/risk management. Strong communication, investigative, analytical, and conflict resolution skills. Experience with Epic and RL Solutions is preferred. Registered Nurse licensure preferred. Ability to partner with diverse teams, adapt to changing priorities, and develop educational programs.

Key Duties:

Risk assessment, incident review, safety education, communication management, and participation in organizational safety initiatives. Flexibility to be on call 24/7 and travel as needed. Proven ability to foster safety culture and implement evidence-based practices.
