Job summary

IU Health is seeking an experienced Respiratory Care Practitioner in Indianapolis to join our full-time daytime team. The ideal candidate will hold Indiana licensure and NBRC RRT credentials, with an AS degree in respiratory care and preferred BS. Must have BLS and be prepared for ALS certifications within 6 months.

Two to four years in respiratory care and one year in specialty areas are preferred. Strong computer skills (Word/PowerPoint/Excel) are required.

Qualifications

• Requires current Indiana licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
• Requires R.R.T. (Registered Respiratory Therapist) credential by NBRC.
• Requires AS degree from a CoARC-accredited respiratory care program; regional accreditation.
• Healthcare Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider Certification required.
• Advanced life support certifications (ACLS, NRP, PALS) per unit/department within 6 months.
• 2–4 years experience in Respiratory Care.
• 1 year experience in area of specialty; 2 years preferred.
• Ability to apply basic computer skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
