Job summary

Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center in Seattle seeks a Clinical Research Quality Control (QC) and Preceptorship Lead to mentor clinical research coordinators, oversee onboarding, and drive continuous improvement in training and operational tools.

The role collaborates with investigators and leaders to implement standardized competencies, ensure regulatory compliance, and align resources with departmental goals. Strong mentoring and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Social Sciences, Healthcare, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in clinical research, coordination, monitoring, or training.
• Experience working with clinical research coordinators, including observation, troubleshooting, and hands-on support.
• Strong knowledge of clinical research processes, GCP, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead onboarding and training of new hires, ensuring tool and process readiness.
• Mentor coordinators and provide real-time coaching to ensure compliance and quality.
• Develop and update training resources, tools, templates, and checklists.
• Ensure alignment with current guidance documents and CAPA processes.
• Collaborate with investigators and leadership to identify gaps and drive improvements.
