Job summary

Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center in Seattle is seeking a highly motivated, full-time Clinical Research Technologist I/II to join the Radich Molecular Oncology Lab. This role supports moderate- and high-complexity lab testing on human specimens within a CLIA/CAP-regulated environment.

The successful candidate will follow established protocols, operate PCR/sequencing platforms, manage patient data, prepare reports, and execute molecular biology techniques with precision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in medical technology or laboratory science or in chemical, physical, or biological sciences.
• CLIA-certified lab experience handling human specimens (6 months for Tech I; 2 years for Tech II with Bachelor).
• Molecular biology knowledge and basic laboratory skills.
• Detail oriented with ability to maintain accurate digital and paper records.
• Strong communication skills, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory tests on clinical samples under supervision, following SOPs for moderate/high complexity testing.
• Interpret and report test results under supervision.
• Log, record, process and track clinical specimens.
• Maintain laboratory records electronically and on paper with proper documentation.
• Assist in equipment and reagent preparation and maintenance.
• Order and maintain lab supplies.
• Perform other duties as required.
• 100% lab work expected.
