Job summary

AdventHealth in Orlando, FL seeks an experienced clinical research leader to supervise the research team, ensure safe patient care, and drive SOP development and adherence. The role focuses on staffing, mentoring, and seamless study start-up in collaboration with operations and external partners.

The position requires a Bachelor’s in Healthcare Administration or related field, with 2+ years in clinical research and a preference for 5+ years in management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Research, or related field is required.
• Master's degree is preferred.
• Minimum 2+ years of experience in clinical research; 5+ years with increasing people management responsibilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages the delivery of safe care with regard for the dignity and respect of all patients/participants.
• Supervises day-to-day activities of the clinical research team, including productivity and staffing schedules.
• Leads the Talent Acquisition process, team development, and performance management of research team members.
• Serves as a service line expert and resource for the research team, addressing barriers during day-to-day operations.
• Builds and maintains supportive relationships with each team member through regular rounding and scheduled connections.
• Ensures teams maintain adequate inventory levels, order equipment and supplies, and maintain clinical supply areas.
• Collaborates with operations manager, study intake, research services, and external partners for timely start-up.
• Monitors and evaluates the quality and safety of clinical operations.
• Develops and maintains SOPs and ensures adherence to processes.
• Provides guidance, education, training, and mentorship to promote growth for study team members.
• Delivers compliant clinical research coordination across planning, organizing, and managing protocols.
• Supports preceptorship of new team members and maintains open communication with the Operations Manager.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
