Job summary

Cook County Health & Hospitals System is seeking a CORE Center Research Study Coordinator to manage day-to-day operations of clinical studies, recruit and screen participants, and work with the Principal Investigator to implement study procedures and data collection.

The role is grant-funded (until Aug 31, 2028) with potential renewal, requiring coordination of visits, consent, data handling, and compliance with GCP/HSP guidelines in a busy research setting at the CORE Center.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher required.
• One year of clinical research/public health experience.
• Experience in handling shipments of dangerous goods.
• Experience with medical technology.
• GCP and Human Subjects Protection training required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel and Word).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule participant visits.
• Obtain consent and ensure participant understanding of the protocol.
• Administer study questionnaires and interviews.
• Coordinate language translation services for documentation.
• Ensure data entry accuracy and storage per protocol.
• Support collection of medical records per protocol.
• Facilitate timely data submission with the research team.
• Support participant retention and adherence to visit schedules.
• Prepare shipments of dangerous goods per guidelines.
• Stay updated on state and federal research regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
