Job summary

Cook County Health is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator to support recruitment, screening, and consent of study participants. The role ensures research is conducted per GCP, federal, sponsor, and institutional guidelines, sustaining data quality and protocol compliance.

Responsibilities include maintaining documentation, coordinating with investigators, IRB, and sponsors, and ensuring timelines are met.

Qualifications

Associate degree from an accredited college or university or higher.
Two years in a clinical research or relevant experience.
Proficiency using Microsoft Office (Excel and Word).

Responsibilities

Maintain accurate documentation and communicate with investigators, colleagues, study participants, sponsors, IRB, and other research-related entities.
Ensure study-related procedures are executed per protocol and within timelines.
Identify and screen eligible participants for study recruitment.
Obtain informed consent and ensure participants understand the protocol.
Identify adverse events and report promptly to PI and regulatory authorities.
Maintain source documents per institutional procedures.
Package and ship study specimens per IATA and sponsor guidelines.
Organize supplies needed to complete study tasks.
Pursue training and professional development.
Stay up to date on state and federal research guidelines.
