Job summary

The University of Pennsylvania’s Perelman School of Medicine in Philadelphia seeks a Clinical Research Program Manager C to provide strategic, administrative, and operational management for the Department of Surgery’s research program led by Dr. Ronald DeMatteo.

You will coordinate across leadership, collaborators, sponsors, and research staff to strengthen partnerships and advance the program’s scientific mission.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 7-10 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
• Master’s degree and 5-7 years of experience preferred.
• This position is contingent upon grant funding.

Responsibilities

• Develop program development and coordination of communication, staff and resource infrastructure.
• Manage relationships between Dr. DeMatteo, collaborating investigators, sponsors, other academic centers, research staff, and administrative offices.
• Lead pre- and post-award grant administration, internal and external research communications, and general administrative responsibilities for the department’s research efforts.
• Oversee internal educational research programs and event planning in collaboration with stakeholders.
