Job summary

Alcanza Clinical Research is seeking an Investigational Product Coordinator for our Kansas City, MO location. This role prepares and dispenses study medications, ensuring compliance with GCP, ICH, HIPAA, FDA, USP 797/800, and state boards.

You will support site staff with drug distribution and staff education. You will work under the Lead Research Pharmacist and investigators, handling inventory, regulatory compliance, and patient safety, while mentoring junior staff and contributing to process

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree with 1+ year of related experience or equivalent.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) required.
• Bi-lingual English/Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Integrate investigational medication use with pharmacy workflow and safety.
• Coordinate and advise site staff on drug distribution for investigational meds.
• Identify resource needs and redeploy resources as needed.
• Prepare, label, dispense investigational medications and educate subjects and staff.
• Dispense controlled substances as part of a research study and maintain inventory records.
• Ensure safety and care for all research subjects related to medication preparation and dispensing.
• Mentor and support staff development.
• Other duties as assigned.
