Job summary

Tekton Research is seeking a motivated Patient Recruitment Specialist to support clinical study enrollment efforts in Austin, TX. You will work closely with the Recruitment Manager and the clinical operations team to recruit and screen potential study participants.

The role requires excellent communication, organization, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. This is a temporary, full-time, non-exempt position with standard hours and potential overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• GED or HS Diploma required.
• Experience in patient recruitment or clinical research is a plus.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Meet patient recruitment and enrollment goals with the Recruitment Manager.
• Make and receive recruitment calls; communicate professionally with prospective participants.
• Understand study inclusion/exclusion criteria and eligibility requirements.
• Explain study requirements and screening information clearly to participants.
• Adhere to enrollment timelines and screening schedules.
• Provide updates to the Recruitment Manager and clinical operations staff.
• Collaborate with the Tekton Research team to support study goals.
• Maintain accurate communication and organize daily recruitment activities.

Job Description:

Tekton Research is seeking a motivated and organized Patient Recruitment Specialist to join our team. This position supports clinical research recruitment efforts and works closely with the Recruitment Manager, clinical operations team, coordinators, and support staff to help achieve study enrollment goals.

Reports To: Recruitment Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the Recruitment Manager to meet patient recruitment and enrollment goals.
• Make and receive recruitment phone calls and communicate professionally with prospective study participants.
• Learn and understand study-specific inclusion and exclusion criteria.
• Understand and clearly communicate study eligibility and enrollment requirements to patients and staff.
• Adhere to study enrollment timelines and screening schedule guidelines.
• Clearly and patiently explain study requirements and screening-visit information to prospective participants.
• Identify recruitment challenges and communicate them to the Recruitment Manager.
• Suggest potential solutions to recruitment barriers when appropriate.
• Organize daily recruitment activities and prioritize calls based on direction from site staff.
• Maintain accurate and timely communication with clinical operations managers, study coordinators, and support staff.
• Provide status updates related to recruitment activities and progress.
• Work collaboratively as a productive member of the Tekton Research team.
• Promote a positive, professional, and harmonious work environment.
• Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

• GED or HS Diploma required (Some College preferred)
• Previous experience in patient recruitment, clinical research, healthcare, customer service, or a related field is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
