Job summary

Actalent, a global leader in engineering and sciences services, seeks an experienced Research Operations Leader in Orlando. You will oversee departmental studies, coach staff, manage budgets, and ensure adherence to GCP and regulations while driving strategic growth in nursing, biobehavioral, and academic research programs.

The role emphasizes performance coaching, process improvements, and collaboration with investigators and sponsors to meet targets and maintain research integrity.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of research management, clinical research, or research operations experience.
• Thorough understanding of federal regulations and Good Clinical Practice (GCP).
• Experience with budgeting, financial tracking, and operational planning.
• Experience supporting nursing, biobehavioral, academic, or translational research programs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all departmental research studies and daily research operations.
• Lead, coach, develop, and evaluate research staff performance.
• Coordinate research activities to ensure timely study execution and achievement of departmental goals.
• Maintain high standards of quality, efficiency, and operational excellence across research programs.
• Support strategic planning initiatives and contribute to long‑term research growth.
