Job summary

Indiana University is seeking a Research Nurse/Coordinator to support clinical trials in Indianapolis. You will assist the PI with protocol development, risk assessment, and staff allocation, while coordinating recruitment, consent, and enrollment according to IRB approvals.

Responsibilities extend to specimen handling, budget preparation, contract reviews, and maintaining GMP/GCP standards. The role emphasizes regulatory knowledge and cross-functional collaboration in a university setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing with 1 year of clinical nursing experience.
• Associate's degree in nursing with 3 years clinical nursing experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent with 4 years clinical nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Assists PI in protocol development and risk assessment; evaluates study design and population risk.
• Designs recruitment strategies and consents subjects, monitors enrollment goals.
• Liaises with healthcare providers to determine best recruitment practices and enrollment.
• Ensures collection, processing, shipment of specimens and documentation; communicates with PI and sponsor.
• Prepares and negotiates study budgets; reconciles accounts and reviews contracts.
