Job summary

Professional Case Management (PCM) is hiring a Medical Assistant (MA) to support clinical research activities and day-to-day operations across EmVenio research sites. You will perform admin and clinical tasks under supervision, manage participant flow, scheduling, and data/documentation to ensure smooth studies.

The ideal candidate holds CMA or RMA certification, BLS, and strong Microsoft Office skills, with prior clinical or research experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelors degree preferred
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program and CMA or RMA certification
• BLS required or willing to obtain within 30 days of hire
• Previous experience in clinical or research setting desirable
• Proficiency in electronic source documentation (e-Source) and eISF systems desirable
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills with attention to detail
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
• Effective communication with suppliers and stakeholders
• Strong interpersonal skills in a multicultural environment
• Service oriented and adaptable

Responsibilities

• Adhere to GCP, IRB requirements, and SOPs
• Obtain and record vital signs and medical histories
• Process and ship laboratory specimens per IATA
• Perform basic CLIA-waived and POC tests (urinalysis, glucose)
• Prepare and administer medications under supervision
• Maintain exam rooms and supply inventory
• Support clinical trial planning, execution, and close-out
• Schedule appointments and manage participant flow
• Manage front desk check-in/check-out of participants
• Participate in recruitment and retention activities
• Educate patients about study procedures and compliance
• Maintain accurate patient records and data entry
• Ensure temperature logs and supply expiration tracking
• Handle patient correspondence and billing
• Complete GCP, HIPAA, IATA training and study-specific training
• Assist with eISF filing as needed
• Ensure regulatory/data review and QC in studies
• Support monitoring visits and audits
• Maintain reliability and willingness to work after hours/weekends
