Job summary

The University of Chicago is seeking a Clinical Research Financial Analyst to support revenue cycle operations related to charging, billing, and collecting in the Office of Clinical Research. This role coordinates billing compliance activities with department leadership and study teams.

Under the direction of the Associate Director, the analyst will review and process payments, prepare financial reporting, and ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations governing clinical research

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
2-4 years’ experience in healthcare clinical research billing.
Experience with Epic Research Billing functions.
Experience with CTMS OnCore, ERP systems and financial software.
Knowledge of Medicare Clinical Trials Policy and CPT/ICD/HCPCS coding.

Responsibilities

Perform research billing activities including daily charge review and payment processing.
Generate and review research billing documentation and financial reporting.
Collaborate with Clinical Trial Financial Group, study teams, IRB and stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with Medicare policies and local regulations.
Contribute to training and policy development for billing compliance.
