Job summary

UC San Diego Health is seeking an Assistant Clinical Research Coordinator to support coordination of cardiovascular clinical studies within the UCSD Cardiovascular Institute. You will assist with participant recruitment, scheduling visits, data entry, and sample handling under regulatory oversight.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, knowledge of NIH/GCP/HRPP/IATA, and experience with REDCap and Velos.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of NIH, GCP, IIPP, HRPP, IATA, and Bloodborne Pathogens.
• Experience with clinical trials recruitment and case report forms (REDCap).
• Experience coordinating startup activities for industry projects and in a clinical research environment.
• Proficiency with Velos, Access, Excel and MS Word; ability to manage data and regulatory records.
• Strong written and verbal communication across diverse groups.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate multiple federally funded and industry-sponsored clinical studies.
• Screen participants, schedule visits, and collect data and specimens.
• Maintain regulatory files and ensure audit readiness.
• Support adverse event documentation and regulatory submissions.
• Collaborate with Project Manager and Regulatory Manager on study tracking.
