Job summary

Summit Clinical Research Solutions is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator in Ridgewood, NJ to manage day-to-day trial operations and ensure protocol and regulatory compliance. You will recruit and screen participants, document activities, and report on study progress while collaborating with sponsors and vendors.

The ideal candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, and an excellent communicator with 1–2 years of clinical research experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a scientific area preferred or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• 1 year of experience as a Clinical Research Assistant or Coordinator.
• 1-2 years of experience in Clinical Research.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and CRIO or equivalent CTMS.
• Must have strong knowledge of ICH/GCP guidelines.
• Must complete GCP training before interacting with participants and recertify every 2 years or as applicable.
• Trained and certified in Fibroscan and memory screens as required by the study portfolio and individual experience.
• Basic life support (BLS) training provided during onboarding.
• Proficient in Spanish and English preferred.

Responsibilities

• Exercise judgement within the allowable limits defined within clinical trial protocols, SOPs, and supervisors’ directions.
• Maintain participant privacy and data confidentiality per sponsor requirements and regulations (FDA, ICH GCP, HIPAA).
• Complete study-directed assessments with participants (informed consent, medical history, adverse events, etc.).
• Complete documentation and data management tasks as instructed by supervisor and compliance leadership.
• Liaise with pharmaceutical sponsors and external vendors during monitoring visits and audits.
• Manage participant engagement from recruitment to study completion.
• Respond to internal and external information requests promptly.
• Identify opportunities to improve participant care and satisfaction.
• Resolve study-related challenges with a solutions-oriented mindset.
• Coordinate multiple projects with competing priorities per protocol directives.
• Attend meetings and visits hosted by monitors or sponsors as appropriate.
• Track enrollment and study-specific status reports.
• Maintain productive relationships to achieve high-quality research outcomes.
