Clinical Research Coordinator – Ophthalmology Research

Location: Seattle, WA (On-site)

Schedule: Monday – Friday

Compensation: $35 - $40 per hour

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) to join our Ophthalmology Research Department at a leading academic institution in Seattle, WA. The CRC will play a crucial role in supporting clinical research studies by coordinating study activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and facilitating participant enrollment. This is a full-time, on-site position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage multiple ophthalmology clinical research studies from initiation to closeout.
  • Screen, recruit, and enroll study participants, ensuring informed consent is obtained.
  • Schedule and conduct study visits, collect data, and maintain accurate research records.
  • Adhere to study protocols and ensure compliance with IRB, FDA, and institutional guidelines.
  • Monitor study progress, address deviations, and report adverse events as required.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between investigators, sponsors, study participants, and regulatory agencies.
  • Maintain and update study documentation, including case report forms (CRFs) and electronic databases.
  • Assist with grant applications, budgets, and financial tracking for research projects.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Clinical Research Coordinator.
  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree preferred (equivalent experience will be considered).
  • Strong understanding of Good Clinical Practice (GCP), regulatory compliance, and IRB processes.
  • Experience with ophthalmology research or medical research preferred but not required.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic data capture systems.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced academic research setting.
