Job summary

Empathx in Montclair, CA is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator to oversee the day-to-day coordination of Phase I–IV trials, ensuring safety, compliance, and data integrity. You will work closely with the Principal Investigator, sponsors, and monitors to manage study visits, informed consent, and data capture.

The role requires a BA and at least two years of clinical research experience, phlebotomy skills, and experience with EDC systems such as Medidata Rave and REDCap.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree (BA) from a four-year college or university or equivalent.
• Minimum of two (2) years of clinical research experience.
• Experience with Phase I–IV clinical trials.
• Ability to perform phlebotomy and process biological specimens.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in metabolic or CNS clinical research.
• Current California CPT I certification or Medical Assistant with venipuncture training (required).
• ACRP or SOCRA certification (preferred).
• CPR/BLS certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and conduct study visits per protocol, obtain informed consent, collect source data, and administer procedures.
• Perform phlebotomy and vital signs as delegated by the PI.
• Manage concurrent studies and prioritize visits across protocols.
• Screen, recruit, and enroll participants and verify eligibility.
• Maintain accurate source documentation and CRFs for participants.
• Coordinate scheduling, follow-ups, and procedures with staff and providers.
• Collect, process, label, and ship specimens per protocol.
