Within the career path this is considered a fully functioning career level role, with high proficiency and is expected provide guidance to lower-level coordinators in CTO and MRI, as a subject matter expert.Clinical Research Coordinator IIIPosition Highlights:Determines methods and procedures on new protocol requirements while implementing good clinical practices as set forth by Federal regulations..As the primary resource for the protocols, the CRC III will coordinate patient care by collaborating with medical staff, and document in accordance with standards and regulatory guidelines.Will act as liaison between the investigators, care providers, Moffitt regulatory staff and the sponsor.Along with the investigator, the CRC III will screen, enroll, and follow study subjects, ensuring protocol compliance and close monitoring while the subjects are on study.The CRC III will perform all Clinical Research Coordinator core support and additional responsibilities as detailed for the Clinical Research Coordinator II with the expectation of ability to carry a higher study/patient workload.The CRC III is expected to work independently with moderate oversight and direction from the supervisor and Principal Investigator (PI), to implement and coordinate research, including administrative procedures. Moderate supervision with some latitude for independent judgment is provided Has limited problem-solving responsibility while working under defined guidelines.Normally receives little instructions on day- to-day work, with general instructions on new assignments.Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.Networks internally and externally in own area of expertise.Has in-depth conceptual and practical knowledge in own discipline and basic knowledge of related disciplines.Contributes to process improvements.Typically resolves complex problems or problems that do not have routine solutions.Acts as a resource for less experienced colleagues.Credentials and Qualifications:*Bachelor’s degree with 4 years of experience in clinical trials coordination*In lieu of a bachelor’s degree, Associate’s degree with 6 years clinical trials coordination experience may be consideredCCRP/CCRC certification requiredHigh proficiency in word processing (Microsoft Office Suite), data base entry, and through knowledge of Good Clinical Practices and the regulations necessary for the protection of human subjects and the conduct of clinical research.Should be proficient in the use of EMR systems, clinical trial management systems and other various data capture/reporting systems.Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as excellent interpersonal skills with patients, staff, and other health care professionals.Highly proficient understanding of medical terminology required.Ability to work under little guidance to plan, organize, and coordinate multiple work assignments, establish and maintain effective working relationships with others in a team setting, act as a subject matter expert and communicate clearly verbally and in writing.Must have ability to prioritize and pace one’s-self when working under the pressure of deadlines and work volume.Successfully demonstrates competency by meeting established competency guideline/check list annually.Salary Range$31.99 - $48.80Salary ranges posted for this position represent the expected base pay range for the role.
